I am a night shift bread baker in Seattle. This is my personal blog about the antics I get up to in my wee little apartment kitchen. I have a fun background in culinary arts, but no formal training, and a need for experimentation. So if you take all that and combine it with a wine and rain induced gust of inspiration, you find yourself here. Welcome friend.

I go by the name Rieuster (a nickname from my father.) You can call me Rieu (roo.)

I have a base knowledge of cooking and I constantly don’t have all the ingredients I need. But somehow, things work out in the end. And the more wine we have, the more fun. And then it’s time to sleep.
